Mama Bear Tries To Get Her Family Across The Street, But The Littlest One Can’t Keep Up

You’ve surely heard the age-old question, ‘Why did the chicken cross the road?’, but how about the big ole’ bear? And why would that bear cross the road, back and forth, repeatedly?

Well, first, you have to understand it’s a Mama Bear, and then, you have to see this video to understand why Mama can’t just cross the road and move along.

It turns out she isn’t the only bear involved. It seems she has everyone but Goldilocks out there on the road, going back and forth, over and over again.

Her baby cubs are following, or at least trying to. And they are all doing a good job of playing follow the leader, other than one little one who just can’t keep up with the rest of the crew 😞

Mama Bear tries repeatedly to encourage her little ones to follow along. The officers from the Town of Carroll Police Department, in New York, even get in on the action, protecting and serving the family of bears, in this case, making sure they aren’t hit by oncoming traffic.

One officer even assists from the street, as if it’s completely normal to serve as a crossing guard to a couple of four-legged, furry critters.

Sadly, one little bear just can’t make the trip across the road and Mama Bear has to move on for the safety of the others. That little baby bear isn’t abandoned, though. The officers scoop him up and take him in for medical care and rehabilitation.

Once he’s big and strong enough to be able to hold his own with the rest of the family, he will be reunited with Mama Bear and his brothers and sisters back in the wild.

Thank you to the officers for caring so much!
