The Long Family has lived in Eustis for eight years, and they say bear sightings are not uncommon for their neighborhood.
They can usually scare away any bears with a little shouting, but two Mondays ago, Krystal Long came face to face with a particularly stubborn, bold, and possibly habituated, bear.
That's when “Daisy” came to the rescue!
The heroic dog took a beating, but she ended up saving her family.
